    Default Phalaenopsis Liodora

This time my Phalaenopsis Liodora is blooming on mutiple spikes and has a lot of blooms here is a photo. I hear that it is very fragrant. I bought this plant from a vendor in south India and had it shipped to me to my city Pune, but actually this plant has been bred and developed by Bock Biosciences here in Bremen Germany, such an amazing coincidence.

Very beautiful. Yes. Liodora has very nice fragrance. For me, my Liodora starts to bloom very slowly. Also, after 1 bud has nearly spent does the other begin to open. This is the only plant that I have this kind of weird problem.

Thanks Kathi and Satish. Satish it also started to bloom in the same way you narrated, one or two flowers at a time, I think you have to give it time to grow big and strong so that it can have multiple blooms.

Delightful flowers Amey. So your Phalaenopsis is a international traveler exported to India while you were imported to Germany for a University education. Since the orchid is on vacation in a warm climate I think it got the better deal. AL

A very nice Phal. Also unregistered. Apparently Bock not only doesn't register its plants, it doesn't cross check the names it uses for Phals against existing registered names. Check out "Roulette" (Phal. Roulette was registered in the 1970's, most likely a white/red lip; Bock's is a harlequin-type stripe ). Not necessarily a reason not to buy a plant you like, but be aware.

Stunning blooms, Amey! Don't know the parentage but I can see the strong influence of violacea.
