It is very easy to grow, doesn't need fertilizers.
It is a recommended plant to starters growing Phalaenopsis.
Just mount in the tree or drift wood or placed in the basket or pot with different plant media and water often, it grows and blooms anytime.
and I manage to send several in orchid heaven... i'm now left with one small plant.

I like it better than the more rounded forms of the modern hybrids.
    Angel, I couldn't agree more!

    It is LOVELY!

Thank you, Cathy. Due to its blooming habit where the spike just keeps getting longer and longer as more buds begin to form, the intermedia gives the impression that it is in bloom every day all year round.

The intermedia is quite sensitive to direct sunlight. It thrives happily in the shadows. Hope your last one does well and survive.

very nice phal, i remember that phal is my first orchid to raise when i was 8 to 9 years old... Gift from my grandmother after assisting her in the garden. Very lovely plant, what makes me very excited after the bloom is at the end of the spike is a keiki will form.

thanks Jeffrey. So you started with orchids early on? Lucky you. Is the intermedia from your grandma still around?
Yes, it does form keikis at the end of those long flower spikes.
