Default Yellow Phal. needs a name!

Hello, I bought this phal. last saturday, unfortunatly the tag is missing- it has a very nice fragrance at certain times- though exactly when I couldn't tell you, all I know is that sometimes I smell it, and sometimes I don't. Any thoughts?

It is so hard to identify phals by photo -- so maybe you could just give it a name. I know, I know, hardly PC by AOS standards, but since you can't show it any way you might as name it something fun.

    Hi Meg,

Phalaenopsis orchids have been hybridized to the extent that many progeny are similar looking. Unfortunately, once a tag is lost it is very hard to know what the actual grex name is.

So, if you ever show this at a local club you will have to call it Phal unknown.

Of course, like Sadie and Julie said, it shouldn't stop you from calling it something like: Phalaenopsis "Smelly Yellow".

Ok, I'm sure you can come up with something better than that.

    Cheers
    Tim

Gin, that name inspired me to name my NOID yellow Phal (it also looks like those other 2) Phal Mo Man Tai (meaning no problem) .

    Oh BTW, its also fragrant.
