Wow what a show! I was just looking at a 'more modest' version of this Oncidium today. I think that I will definitely buy the Sweet Sugar next! Any tips?

I also have Onc. Sweet Sugar. I really can't give any real tips, since in my climate Oncidium alliance grow very easily. I grow mine outdoors where they get good early morning sun up to about 11.am. then partial shade the remainderof the day. My potting medium for Onc. is fine grade Aliflor mixed with charcoal. This works well for me in my conditions. I fertilise as for all my other orchids, weak solution, every other watering, and one full strength once a month.
    Good luck.

I haven't heard giving a full strength fertiliser before but maybe I should start to do that once a month too. Never heard of Aliflor before either I guess it's a compost for hardy or outdoor growing orchids. Thanks for your advice Angela, I'll remember it for when I get mine.
