    Default Phalaenopsis species or hybrid

    Hi this plant is belong to my close friend, he told me got it from Johor (Southern part of West Malaysia) a couple of years ago in the jungle, maybe new species or hybrids, the leaf very huge with long spike.

    This orchid bloom looks so thick. I bet it lasts a long time. Hope you get an identification.

    The lip reminds me of Phalaenopsis fuscata / kunstleri, 2 species from Malaysia / Johor, but sepals/petals are not typical.

    That was my first thought also. Lip looks like fuscata or kustleri, but for sure not pure species.

    Eric, Susan thanks for your suggestion, maybe natural crossing between fuscata/kuntslerii with cornucervi, the chance always there, however the leaves as depicted in the photo above are very huge like fuscata or kuntslerii is there any possibilities of mutant?

    That was my first impression but it seems there is no CC influence in the lip.
