This is nice species with small flowers (1.25") and varigated foliage. The books say that a mature plant can have up to 100 flowers.

Beautiful. That makes me want to grow one of them, but I am like Cathy. Phals only last one season for me.

Nice, but something tells me its a hybrid. The petals and dorsal sepal are just too round and flowers seem quite small, and a upright inflorescence doesnt fit much as well.

According to the vendor this is an awarded vatiety of the species. It is supposed to be a result of selective breeding but not cross breeding.

When this was awarded (HCC/AOS), there were 100+ flowers 5.5cm wide. There are a number of awarded stuartianas with comparably shaped flowers and/or comparable color.

I've always liked Stuartiana's but didn't realize they had spotted leaves. Even more reason to like them
