These are 2 varieties of P. amabilies growing in my garden. The first one is from Tenom, Sabah and the other (as informed by the vendor) just as local Sabah variety. The first one is quite large both in plant size and also bloom. The bloom on the larger ones is around 4 inches and the smaller ones is half that size. Grown side by side under 100% shade.

Love the staging on that first shot, Mazlan!
“If nature were not beautiful it would not be worth knowing, and life would not be worth living. I am not speaking, of course, of the beauty which strikes the senses, of the beauty of qualities and appearances. I am far from despising this, but it has nothing to do with science. What I mean is that more intimate beauty which comes from the harmonious order of its parts, and which a pure intelligence can grasp.” - Henri Poincare
All shots are great, I love the second the most!

Amabilis lip is a marvel. Beautiful blooms. Bravo.
Eric

both very nice! my favorit is the yellow lip!
a couple years ago i got one from sabah, and it was perfumed, not strongly, but definitively perfumed (and fragrance was noticeable only a fews days after the flowers open, just like schill). did you notice a fragrance?

They're both beautiful but I prefer the one with more yellow on the lip. Very nice!
Absolutely amazing! How old are these Phals?
These are actually 2nd generations plants. Both mothers has died due to rot and mite attack at almost the same time. The one with yellow lips produced 1 keiki before it died and the smaller one produced 3 keikis. I would say they are around 2 to 3 years old. Thanks for looking and commenting.
