Cool Tolumnia Noid and Mclra. Yellow Star 'Golden Gambol'

These are from our shopping spree. The cute Tolumnia and my other oncidium came from a small store where the lady throws the tags away so you don't know where she buys them from! lol Cathy gave her a hard time over the no tag thing...something I've done in the past. I also found a couple lovely vases for the house. You never know what you will find in that tiny store!

Lovely Tol. Rather foolish throwing the tags away -- wouldn't be surprised if she hurts her own sales in doing so. If she is that desperate to keep her "source" a secret, she should at least copy the plant's name down on a new tag.

What a cute Tolumnia orchid. I wish I could grow Tolumnia orchids, but after one season - they just die. I'm so glad that others grow them and share their photos. haha..

    cheers,
    BD

As a matter of fact...it has hurt her business. She is going to be moving the orchids into her garage to sell shortly. She said she has a lot of people come in, see no tags and leave without buying anything. Since I'm not always caring about names, for me it's not such a big deal. But for Cathy and serious collectors that cross their plants, a tag is a big deal.

She was a very sweet lady with a very nice store full of lovely blooms. And Connie, the vases were just beautiful.
