    Default Odontocidium Sucubus 'Night Shift"

Strange that last year's post of this was resurrected today. I was planing to show this years bloom but hadn't gotten around to it. This year the spike is again 52 inches but has more flowers than last year. The flowers are also totally dark this year. Last year there were some traces of pink that made it resemble Sharri Baby. This year I kept it in the basement so perhaps the cooler conditions had an effect. Again it started to spike in early September while still summering outdoors. The blooms opened like clockwork Feb. 1st as usual. I have pics posted with and without the flash. Those pics without the flash give you a more accurate idea of the color. It really does appear almost black.

Does indeed have that Sharry Baby look to the flower form. Does it have a similar fragrance to SB?
