Beautiful. This seems to be a great year for phals. Mine are blooming and spiking like crazy also. Yours are lovely and who cares if they are noids or not. Thanks for sharing.

Bill, do you grow your phals under lights? I have phals under T8 lights and its on 14 hours a day, and a humidifier blowing right on them but no spike in any of them. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I grow mine under T8 lights and in windows. Both are really doing well this year. I did sit the ones in windows outside in September for a couple weeks to give them the temp drop. They spiked almost immediately when i brought them back into the living quarters. The ones i left in the basement have been spiking at a slower rate and some are just showing the beginning of a spike. I attribute that to there not being that great a temp drop in my basement area. Last year i had very few spikes even with treating the plants the same way. That may be due to having repotted them. It just seems this year they all want to bloom and at the rate they are going I should have blooms well into fall. Am anxious to see what they will do this fall as far as spikes go. 80% of mine are NOIDS and I see no difference between them and the more costly named varieties I have.
