    Default old equitant

I've probably had this for 25/30 years. They were then known as equitants. It was a trade with my friend Harry Tolen. I would send him spanish moss (for hummingbirds)from Florida and he would send me seedlings from Calif. All of the seedlings only had numbers that I received. I've lost most of them over the years and have three left.

Nice coloured Tolumnia. Congrats Cathy for keeping it alive for such a long time. Tolumnias are notoriously short-lived.

They rot from the center. You have to keep diving them. It is not anything like the new hybrids. Just plain and simple. Thanks Yew Sung.

Cute Tolumnia orchid. I treasure orchids from friends above the others in my collection because they remind me of the fun times shared with the friend who gave me the plant.

    cheers,
