    Default Colmanara Wildcat

A run-of-the-mill intergeneric hybrid. Flowers occasionally here but doesn't exactly thrive under my care. Tends to lose roots when kept too wet or too dry and bulbs are prone to rot in heavy rain.

    I wouldn't call it run-of-the-mill. I think it's a beautiful oncidium.

Thanks all. The oncidium alliance do not do very well in my growing area. It gets too dry, and too wet for their liking during various times of the year. Even phals do better..

I think this kind of orchids likes it cool and sort of dry. ----- I regularly rescue these from the garbage and give them as gifts when they re-bloom. Growing condition: water once or twice a week. Cool nights (below 20 c / 70 F) and warmish days (27 to 28 c or 80s F).

Watering once or twice a week may be good in California, but in the hot tropical lowlands, daily watering is the norm.

Beautiful and I like the size on these Oncidium Blooms. What are they, two inches across? AL
