    That would be a logical assumption and I would have thought the same thing. But actually the species in P. Orchid World are amboinensis, amabilis, lueddemanniana and violacea.

    Connie - pardon my ignorance, but are the blooms other than the 2 in the closeup unstriped??? Or is that a different plant? Or is the what this phal does?

    That is a different phal. I used to it try and show how much larger the flowers on 'Jo' are. If it did go that yellow it'd be kinda disappointing for me...lol.

    That yellow phal looks a lot like one I have called Phal. Dragon's Gold '24 K'.

    If I remember my tag is Timothy Christopher or Brother Timothy...nope...it's Phal Brother Lawrence. lol Got up and looked. I love yellow phals...I have a bunch. lol
