Default Phalaenopsis (Brother Pepride X Kuntrati Rarashati)

I've bought a ton of phals in my day but i've never seen one with this feature. On the "nose", there are these two ?pollen anthers?. (not sure if that is what you call them) sticking down. So far only one flower seems to have done this. Anybody know why and what it's called?? Anyways...I went to my sale this morning, got there late and still got a couple nice vandas out of bloom and this lovely phal.

I have no idea why the pollinia would be protruding from the column like that.... Maybe an insect or a curious finger displaced them??

I don't know the answer to your question but that's a beautiful phal.. I love the colors. A couple of nice big vandas also.

By the way very nice haul and beautiful phal, the sticking pollinia could be due to rubbing with another object, normal during long journey especially if the plant dehydrated they prone to get it.

Pretty blooms. I think the pollinia have been dislodged - do my old eyes detect the missing anther cap?
