Oncidium Maxillaria Tenuifolia

    Recently acquired in bloom. I hope a can re-bloom this.

    It is lovely! I just bought the species. I can't wait for blooms. Does yours have the coconut fragrance?

    This is not an oncidium but just Maxillaria tenuifolia, the coconut orchid, because of the smell. Nice colored one.

    Very pretty coloring, and I'd be willing to bet it smells like coconut pie. We have one and it's delightful. I don't think I've ever heard of an orchid that is both an oncidium and a maxillaria, but then, I sure as heck don't know everything about orchids.
