    Default Miltoniopsis NOID

Foliage a bit damaged by the sun ; I am a layer of shade short , especially for the wall-to-wall sunshine we have had for the last week and a half, but with my currently poor sight, and a stiff wind blowing ( keeping shade temperatues down to say 25 here) I can't put any more on at present. Eight spikes with an average of 3 1/2 blooms per spike , and all a bit smaller than they might be- rather poor for what the plant can do ( should be 5+ ) but the plant was put into S/H a year ago , and is still improving. Could be M. Robert Pattison my memory suggests, but in this genus there are usually several hybrids looking the same, with different names.

Now that orchid is just showing off, Geoff! WOW. How wonderful that display is. It is way to hot here to grow these beautiful orchids. I've tried and killed every one. Well grown and bloomed.

    cheers,
    BD
