This is a discussion on phalaenopsis violacea and bellina within the Phalaenopsis, Oncidium, & Intergenerics IN BLOOM forums, part of the Orchid Photography category; from the same flask:...
from the same flask:
Beautiful.. Wish they were mine
Okay, I love the green orchid blooms. Outstanding!!
If the albas are from the same flask, wouldn't all of them be Samera alba instead of violacea alba or bellina alba?
Beautiful alba violacea. The rest are bellina, I suppose ?
btw, sibling may produce different shapes.
but these are close to violacea alba, with no trichomes on the lip, so micholitzii or something else in the background is not an evidence. then, using a bellina with some in line backcross with violacea alba is always possible...
these are close to violacea alba, this is way i call them violacea alba.
thx for enjoying
