What do y'all think this guy is? It doesn't look like your typical boxstore Phal. Looks like it may have some violacea or bellina in it? I can't find any other hybrid like it online.

    Dragon's Gold has P. venosa, P. rimestadiana, P. amabilis, P. aphrodite and P. amboinesis.

I-Hsin Viola Tris has P. violacea, P. venosa, P. lueddemanniana, and P. equestris.

By the way I have P. Dragon's Gold and it's a vigorous, fast growing phalaenopsis that remains in bloom an exceptionally long time.

Thank you! This guy has started putting out a new leaf and is working on a couple of new roots. Looks to be taking off just fine! Do they have a blooming cycle, or are they free-blooming?

I'm guessing it gets a lot of its characteristics from its I-Hsin genes. I'm not an expert on breeding, but I've browsed phal listings online enough to know that if you Google I-Hsin, you'll see lots of phals with similarly formed flowers. I, for one, LOVE the form of these flowers. Gorgeous color combination too! I'd be curious to know if the yellow stays vibrant or if it fades like it does on so many phals.

    TOTALLY JEALOUS.

I just happened to stumble upon this exact hybrid at an online orchid store! The seller calls it Phalaenopsis "Sweet Fragrance." Here's what they have to say about it:

An absolute darling of a FRAGRANT multi-floral miniature summer to fall bloomer carrying the sweet fragrance from the three species of Phal. violacea, amboinensis and venosa in its breeding background. This particular hybrid is an improvement over the pollen parent with the addition of Dragon’s Gold as the pod parent, adding the fragrance of Phal. amboinensis to the hybrid. With all these strong growing species in its background, ‘Sweet Fragrance’ is a heat-tolerant and easy grower. As first bloomers, they’re already producing 1-2 spikes in 3” moss pots – as they get older, they will produce multiple spikes, while maintaining their small size, due to the influence of Phal. equestris from I-Hsin Viola Tris. Very Highly Recommended !

How coincidental, Jenn...that's where I ordered mine haha I totally recommend one. The colors do not fade at all, and the flowers have a such a heavy substance that they last for months. Multiple spikes etc...it's just a perfect Phal. I repotted mine not long ago and it's already put out three roots and a new leaf...it just didn't skip a beat.
