    Well looky there... so it is! I didn't even notice it at first...I just love Bellinas, so I was looking at it, going "Ahhhhh." It will be interesting to see if future flowers have this same malformation.

    Very unlikely that this will be trait that is repeated with other flowers. Missing floral organs are mostly caused to improper floral meristem termination caused by a variety of reasons, one of which is plant hormones. If you have been spraying with some fertilizer with growth promoters, it could have caused this.

    I agree, it should bloom with all of its parts in the next cycle. I still think the bloom is pretty - regardless of the missing petal.
