    Beautiful.
It could be sold as a bellina ! A very good example (imo) of why I have always doubts about the purity of violacea / bellina for sale, even if they are awarded.

Fantastic bloom and color. I am glad to hear Eric express the same doubts I experience about violacea/bellina and others.

    Very beautiful Phal.
Eric your doubts are well supported by genetic data. ITS and other DNA marker phylogeny have proved on more than one occasion that Bellina and Violacea are the same or more precisely not different enough to be considered two separate species.

Indeed, a lot of the bellinas in circulation are too good to be unadulterated species. I remember the first bellinas I had. They were pointy and 'tall'. I still like my bellinas that way.
