    Default Dtps. Siam Treasure 'Blue'

Well, mine is more like purple, even though I bought a "clone"... ahem... I know even the "really blue" ones are purplish, but not this purple.
On the bright side, about 2/3 of my Phals are spiking, so I will surrounded by blooms soon

Aren't orchid folks just the weirdest...

next thing they will be calling yellow - gold!

oh hold on, I think they already do... hmm... well like I said.

Beautiful bloom Jenn, I like the sprinling of colour on the rest of the flower parts as well.. it's like purple blush. And what's this about surrounded by flowers? Ok what's the secret oh great one???

    cheers

LOL... the "secret" is a relatively small collection (only about 80 plants) with too many Phals. I'm working on my small collection problem though, even if I am out of room in this TINY house with all Northern facing windows

Thank you for the compliment on the bloom.

Lovely color, and everyone knows that 'blue' is rarer than 'purple', therefore people have truly stretched the color boundary by calling things blue to get that "special, rare" cachet.

I have only about 8 - 10 Phals, have at least 4 in spike at last check, if they survive all the neglect while I'm in and out of town these next few months. A few paphs, and some catts in bud. May have a bloom or two to post before climbing aboard the 'Great Silver Bird' on Saturday.

Pretty! Does look really blue in the pic, lol, still pretty. I think I need more pastel colored orchids--they do look nice.

"surrounded by blooms" -- How cool is that with the cold temps making everything so gray and barren lately! BRAVO! And, beautiful color on that bloom. It is ghost like the way you photographed it. Your photo composition is as outstanding as your blooms. Very nice!

    Cheers!
