So what's the leaf span like, Yew? I have very few phals because so many have such a large "foot print" (or should that be "leaf print"? ). My largest phal currently is Salu Peoker with a leafspan of about 23cm.

Very nice Yew, your 25 year old hands without a tripod did just fine!
So, Phal.tetraspis was given only varietal status?

I wish they were 25 year old hands, Ron ; they're actually 75 years old! I'm not sure Ron about the taxonomic status of Phal speciosa/tetraspis or my Paph hirsutissimum/esquirolei and so I take the coward's way out.

I always enjoy seeing this orchid's blooms. I like how the colors play around on the flowers. Your friends blooms are really nice. I hope yours turn out just as nice as well.

    cheers,
    BD
