    John: I have this orchid as well and have always enjoyed the profusion of flowers it produces. I wanted to mention that there is some confusion with the name. If you look at the IOSPE website, it suggests that the name Onc. ornithorhynchum belongs to a yellow flowered species. The pink flowered species should be Onc. sotoanum according to the website. Apparently there was some confusion in the classification process.

    I have a pink one (well ...It has never flowered for me) and mine too is tagged Onc. ornithorhynchum .....
