Very nice. I've got a few as well, but not in bloom now. They're growing new growths.

Beautiful. I have tried growing them in the lowlands but all have perished although they are supposed to be warm tolerant.

I don't know how warm it can get over there, but here we can easily have temps over 100 F in summer and they do fine.

Our average day temperature is 33C which is about 92F for about 300 days a year and about 38C (102F) for at least 60 days from May to June. The night temps are usually 27C ( 80F) for 3/4 of the year and 25C (77F) from Dec to mid-Jan. A cold spell as is happening the last week or so may see a temp of 28C daytime and 23C night time. I find that Beallaras and other Oncidinae do very well in our highlands ( eg. the Cameron Highlands about 2000metres) where night time temps are from 15C - 20C - (54-65F0.

When we compare temperatures, our hot and humid temperatures occur throughout the year with no seasonal break. In your Mediterranean climate you do have a cool, wet winter, which suits a lot of orchids, particularly the Oncidinae, Phals and esp. Cymbidiums. I was in your wonderful city a long, long time ago when I was a student in England and I have also visited a few of the Mediterranean countries during the summer holidays and I can assure you your summers are warm and very comfortable, whereas our heat and humidity is very uncomfortable with clingy clothes and clammy skins.

For you your climate is perhaps a bit uncomfortable, but on the other side, you can grow magnificent orchids without problems.
