    Smile Rescued Oncidium 'Twinkle'

These were to be discarded by a flower shop, since they are nearing the end of their flowering period. An orchid friend of mine bought all four that were left at 25% of the original price... And I bought two of those! Can't have orchids thrown away like that, right?! :-D

Certainly not Twinkles! Such a cute little plant that doesn't take a lot of room. I have a NOID that I suspect is one of the Twinkles too. I doubt I'll be able to ID it, but its sure a cute little thing and very vigorous.

Rescues bring their own sense of accomplishment, especially when they pay back with blooms!

When I was a teenager I regularly checked the dumpster of a nearby florist. You wouldn't believe all that was thrown out, just because the plants weren't in perfect salable condition. Later they started locking the dumpster, lol.
