Default another NEW Oncidium Orchid !

A little while ago I did a cross of at the time an Ocidium that for me flowers at Xmas and a pink Odontioda.
The first to flower is has just opened its first flower

The cross = Oncidium Pacific Space Lustre x Odontioda Carol Easton .

And after the long wait , what does the first flower look like ?

    some stats for you all

    Length of spike = 650mm
    flowers/buds on spike = 10
    width of flower = 43mm
branchs on spike = none this year, but expected
fragrance = maybe ,but not expected
plant size = still in a 50mm pot (will have to be re-potted this season)

    whats to come ?

another plant to flower in a week or so,(maybe sooner) it looks similar at this time.
Going by the type of growth and foliage of plants not going to flower this year - ANYTHING.

Absolutely beautiful. It's a shame you're (or I am) on the other side of the world or I'd offer to buy some from you.

Oh, I'm so jealous! Crossing them seems so fun to me. That result is gorgeous, I'll bet you are very happy with it. I can't wait to see what else blooms from your cross.

Something with the word 'Fire' or some permeation of the word in it!

    It fits!!!
