    Thanks everyone!

Kirk, they're as big as my hand. At least 6 inches across. It's such an amazing plant, I really think it's my favorite orchid. The compact nature of the plant itself coupled with the freakishly large Oncidium-like blooms is just incredible. It's a shame they're such difficult orchids to keep healthy.

That puts the flowers into the range of awarded clones for size too. I'm not entirely a fan of the award systems, but it is nice to know you have a plant that can reward your best efforts to grow it with a display that measures up to the best on record. Your plant is blooming more in season for the Ros. williamsianum parent, so perhaps it will take after the more temperature tolerant side of the family rather than the notoriously cool growing Ros. grande. We'll expect an even more impressive flowering next summer.

    Thanks, Kirk!

As I said originally, I can't take credit for these blooms as it came to me in spike. But they sure are beautiful, and it's nice to know I have what seems to be an award-worthy plant in general. It's the roots that give me a hard time with these guys...they seem to die SO easily, and are extremely unforgiving. One day with too little water or too much will cause the roots to completely abandon ship. Other orchids give you some leeway for mistakes, but not Rossios.
