    what a contrast between the gaudy colours of the frst and the subtle colours of the second... I'd have them both of course, but I just don't have the right conditions...

    Julie, they both enjoy very warm and humid conditions, and the first plant likes higher light than usual for most phalaenopsis.

    Default Julie, I'm having problems with my species phals.

    Because I live in the city where it is hot, and because these plants are endemic mostly to the highlands, I have lots of huge species phals and few flowers.

    I think they fwould bloom better in cooler areas that what I can provide.
