Ah, thank you! I don't have names for all of my plants, I want to get the ones I do have right.

I agree - a wonderful weed with only one fault, it can get awfully big! I am fortunate to have lots of room for it, but others might find that a problem. The Onc. Heaven Scent 'Sweet Baby' is a cute little plant, but doesn't have the presence its parent does!

Lovely Oncidium Sharry Baby orchid!! We have one in bloom now too. It was one of the few orchids that survived the winter freeze in our greenhouse back in February. Such a wonderful fragrance!!

    cheers,
    BD

Some of them can get pretty long if you keep them happy. I had one that threw out 4 spikes, the longest of them was 58 inches from the top of the pot, and the others were pretty close to that, too. (see photos) Pretty hard to see the branched inflorescence on the first photo without blowing it up. We are limited to 500 pixel size so it is hard to get much detail.

Here's a more current picture of Sharry Baby (and it's little friend, Onc. Heaven Scent 'Sweet Baby'). I didn't tie up Sharry Baby other than at the base, I like it arching over like that. The 'Sweet Baby' is an offspring of Sharry Baby, bred to be more compact. It smells great too. For those without the room for Sharry Baby can look for the other. I love them both!

Nice "family portrait". Perfect demonstration - each perfect for different circumstances.

My 10-year-old Sharry Baby threw out 14 long spikes last year, but this year it surprised me with 17 !!!! I'm leaving it potbound in the same pot it's been in for 4 years...hoping for 20 next year. I couldn't take a pic of it because I had to stand so far away to get it all in that you couldn't even see the plant.

Wow! I'm not too surprised though, they are wonderful vigorous plants, fun to grow. Sounds like you've done well by yours! Mine is still blooming well and the second spike is coming along. The very first flowers are looking a little old after 3 weeks. Both plants have two spikes, so I'll have flowers for some time to come!
