    Nice flower!
I brought mine red variety because of the red bloom. On picture was like yours, but now when the fist bloom opened its not plain red, more like red strikes on yellow background. Do you think it will become red or its just that variety?

Thanks Svetlana. I am aware of 3 variants,
    a) phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. chattaladae -- Full Red
    b) phalaenopsis cornu-cervi var. flava -- Full Yellow
    c) phalaenopsis cornu-cervi regular -- Yellow with red bars

from what you say, looks like yours is regular variety.

Are you familiar with Phal. cornu-cervi var sanguinea 'Wan-Kou'..RED form, Cornu-cervi 'Red 175' , Cornu-cervi 'Red Damiang' ?
I bought from other seller Phal. Cornu-cervi 'Red Damlong'. The last two names look to me like one of versions was misspelled. i hope it will completely red

Mine is Phal cornu-cervi 4n. It is in spike now. I don't know what to expect. Red, I'm thinking. But I don't remember.

Some how, this looks like a regular form of Phal. cornu-cervi. Just checked var. sanguinea aka var.rubra. it says " Indian red flowers with a slight halo of yellow at petal edges". Appears that the yellow is only on the petal edges and the rest is solid red. yours appears to be mix of yellow and red all through.

Not red but definitely more superior in size, form and bold markings than the normal form. I saw this particular clone in my friend's collection 2 weeks ago.

A very fine form of cornu-cervi but not a 'Chattaladae' var.

4n stands for ploidy. (chromosome count). Higher count is desirable parent for hybrids and flower size is bigger.
