    Cool Phal cornu-cervi 4n- 1st Ever Blooming

I bought this 14 months ago, May 2014. When I was unpacking this phal, I used scissors to cut away some of the packing material..........and a small, older leaf. Well, the phal was unhappy with me and pouted for about 6 months. Nothing happened during that time. no new roots, no new leaves and no flowers. Nothing. Just hanging by the window in the living room. Finally, it decided it was no longer unhappy and has now added a couple new leaves, with another leaf growing now. It also has finally given me its first of many to come, sequential flowers. The next 2 or 3 buds are already forming. This flower is not quite all the way open. More photos to come once it opens fully. I have not detected a scent yet. The flower is about an inch in size.

Fully open flower taken with my stand-alone digital camera with diffused flash. My cell phone camera's flash causes too much reflection, the diffuser on the camera flash stops the reflections.
