    Default Phalaenopsis x intermedia

    A natural hybrid between Phalaenopsis aphrodite and Phalaenopsis equestris, the two most widely distributed Phalaenopsis species throughout the Philippine archipelago. Like its parent Phalaenopsis equestris and as attested by its long raceme, this orchid blooms continuously all year round and doesn't stop sending flowers. Due to hot climate, it only sends two or one flower with yellow lip per spike. During a typhoon, rainy or cool season (November to February), it sends four or more flowers per spike with pinkish lip.

    Yes ksriramkumar, it is mounted on a coconut husk, the most readily available media we have here Actually the orchids really love it, for it retains moisture. I should have used dark plastic string though.
