I had a large Sherry Baby which I divided into 4 plants less than a year ago. I grew them all under artificial lights. I was told at a Orchid Society Show that these plants do not flower under artificial lights. Well I was surprised to see that 3 of the 4 are blooming or will bloom soon. The smallest one gave out just one flower. The second one, a little larger, gave out a small spike with the flowers shown in second picture. The third, the mother plant, has a large spike but the blooms have not opened yet. Thought it was funny to see just one flower in the smallest.
I think Sherry Baby is like a weed, but such a great plant... I may kill my other Oncidiums, but Sherry Baby put out a 5' spike with over 120 flowers on it last summer! I love it, of course they would bloom in the bottom of your garbage can I think! hehe Mine is in an Eastern window, btw.
