Quite a nice bold flower I think, and a good size too - over 4 inches. I can't claim any credit for growing here - I bought it in very early spike a month or two ago, from a dealer going out of business ; ( always sad- although in this case the firm has been so badly run by the third generation of the family which owns the business, that it is no surprise).
The cross here is the well known Tahoma Glacier and Oncidium schroederianum. It would be difficult to predict what such a cross would produce, and even now I can see the flowers I still can't explain any of the result ! But it grows on me - I definitely like it.

Oh my that is stunning. Love the color, pattern, and form. Influence of the schroederianum parent very apparent I think. Oncidium alliance one of my favorite, such variety and I like flower spikes. Thanks for sharing this one.
