    I have other Oncidium's that are under lights and in spike now too. They have only been under a 8 tube 4 foot fixture with 4 red bulbs. I only have 7 lit right now as I was getting some yellow on leaves growing too close but I didn't want to move the light higher.

    Don't worry, they will spike for you before long. I find if the next growth sprouts from the newly maturing pb instead of a spike, it likely isn't going to grow a spike on that pb.

    beautiful. I have an oncidium "Speckle Sparkle" that I am getting ready to re-pot out of a very dark opaque pot into a "mesh" pot so the roots can photosynthesize and get better air circulation.
