    Default Oncidium Twinkle 'Sunlight'

I can not take credit for the blooming of this Oncidium, I picked this up at the Taimiami Orchid Festival last weekend. I hope I have the same luck with the amount of blooms next time it blooms.

Very nice! I had three of these in different colors. I posted a picture of them all in flower last year. After they finished flowering they all developed black spots and two months later were all dead. I suspect it has something to do with water droplets cooling on the leaves. When I do find some more (really like them) I'll be treating them with a fungicide monthly.

I previously had a Oncidium Twinkle Snow that past away a few years ago, I decided this year to replace with another one, I am hoping I have better luck with this one!

I had already decided that I would be mounting this when I start re-potting my orchids in March.

Are you mounting them on cork Harvey? Mine were planted in sphagnum in a berry basket. Grew like mad, hundreds of roots sticking out, flowered well then disintegrated.

I recently received a Sunlight and two other twinkle colors. They are exploding out of the 2 inch pots they are in. Based on what you are saying I think I will mount them when they are finished blooming. Twinkles look so cheerful.

Mine are both mounted on pine bark slabs.

I hope that my Onc Twinkle 'Pink Profusion' will be open enough to image in a week or 2. It isn't as 'buddy' as Jack's. But it's the best flower count on a Twinkle since coming out of the GH I have managed so far.

Harvey, we will be on the lookout for those pictures in a week or two!
