Default Looking for an ID for this big leaf phal with white flowers

    Hi everyone,
This 'Snow White' beauty had recently bloomed, but unfortunately I'm unable to find out who this mystery beauty is, and what her name was. So I'm hoping to ask around to find out.
    Thanks for your help.

Looks very nice but quite difficult to ID hybrids as similar looking hybrids could be mass produced by multiple nurseries and some of them don't even register them making it even more harder.

Thanks for the reply ksriramkumar. I have not known nurseries to mass-produce big phal orchids of this type...maybe the Taiwanese tall variety yes, but never heard about it with these SEA variety.

Nice flower. Are you growing this just tied to the burlap? If so, how long has it been there and what is your watering schedule?

The only real difference between that plant and those being mass-produced in Taiwan is the maturity. Most of the plants we see from there are under 2 years from flask, but grown optimally so that they put on sufficient mass to bloom quickly.

Hi Chris, I have a special wooden pallet wrapped in burlap and it's catered to my phals. Given Singapore's weather and humidity, the 'burlap pockets' I've created retain enough moisture to sustain them well enough with just a once-a-day watering schedule. That being said, the burlap is rather thin, and I believe a thicker burlap will hold water even better. And it'll be more effective to use thicker burlaps, especially when it comes to summer periods with less rain.

I have no clue as to the name but it is a beauty! Like your use of the burlap. I have mounted a few orchids using burlap but it does deteriorate in a short amount of time, no problem just add more!
