I have started collecting phal species quite recently, and am usng the Kew monograph on the genus by Christenson as my guide. He says that the whole sub-species parishianae , which includes lobbii and parishii as two distinct species - although obviously very close, and often confused , are exceptions to the general rule, in needing cooler conditions in the winter . Down to 11-13 deg. C.
My large greenhouse runs at about 12-13 s winter night temperature, but I have a couplle of enclosures inside this, with additional heat and I grow most phal spcis in one of them, but have both parishii and lobbii outside, in the 12-13 section.
I should be interested to know how you grow your obviously very healthy specimen !
Ah, yes. 14 at night - that is what I thought. My little phally hot house is 20 by night.
Delightful plant and bloom and beautifully mounted!
