    Default Miltassia by Jean Merkel

About the name, I received this late last year from a friend who was having to move, without his orchids, he had lost the tag some years ago but knew that he had purchased this orchid from Jean Merkel who hybridized this orchid. Unfortunately Jean passed away and his nursery was destroyed by a hurricane some 8-10 years ago so getting the correct name is up to anyone here that might know what the correct name is. These are not big blooms and I don't know if that is common or just the orchid recovering from the poor care before I got it, the blooms are a little less the 3X3 inches, any suggestions as to name would be greatly appreciated!

I was hoping that hybrid registrations would give a clue, but out of at least 326 hybrids originated or registered by Alberts/Merkel and a few under other Merkel names, none involve Brassia or Miltonia. If they did any breeding at all in this group it was never registered. I'm not done looking, but that starting point was a bust.
