Love the color of this one! Reminds me of summer… Don’t I wish! It is pouring down snow as I write this!

Looks great, Jack. I'm surprised you can bloom it so well down there, considering its cold nature.

I always find these Brassadas a little disapointing. Few flowers, compared to the 20 or so on the Brassia parent, and of course entirely intermediate in size with the small flowered Ada aurantiaca which provides the colour. Maybe back cross onto the big Brassia a few times ? But thats rather too long term a project for an octogenerian !

Thanks Ray! I think the colder then normal temperatures we have been getting a few nights since the first of November has helped, got down to 47 when we were still in hurricane season, that does not happen often in fact first time since I moved here in 1982! Yet we still have those that say climate change is a bunch of hogwash!

Thanks Geoff, not a big fan of this species only have a few and if I needed the space for more bulbos it would have been gone a long time a go, but I do like the color for a first time bloomer!
