would have to see the hole plant ,but to me it looks like it could be an Oncidium Sharry Baby

I have Sharry Baby and a SB cross and this is not that. It is a much different plant. Much smaller than the SB, only about 8" from the pot rim and the psudo bulbs are only a quarter the size. Here is a picture.

It's definitely something in the Oncidium alliance, but that's a big alliance. It could be a Sharry Baby, but not as mature as the other ones you have.

Until it blooms, we can't get much closer than that, I'm afraid. Good news is you won't have to wait too much longer for the blooms!

    Default Onc.? NoID update

Still going. Boy, they sure do take their time!!! Looking like it might be a greenish color with burgundy spots, but that is a TOTAL guess. The original pic was taken the first week of Nov.

Thats a nice one, and now I'm intrigued! I wonder what it is. But to go from budless spike to big long budfull spike in less than a month is not slow growing at all. It seems very fast!

Hopfully we will know soon what sort of creature this is. At first I thought it would be a green with maroon spot type flower but what do you think now?
