    Hi!

Please do post your photos. Here is the easiest way to post:
Hit the reply button and you get the posting screen. Scroll down below the window you can type in and find the button "MANAGE ATTACHMENTS. Click it and then click the BROWSE button to locate the image on your computer. Once you find the photo you want to upload, just hit the UPLOAD button.

The reason your first photo did not immediately post is because it was an image that was from a 'link'. The new spam filter stops new members from posting links on the board until those links have been viewed by a moderator. If you do post a link to an image, it will not show up immediately, but don't worry, it will show up on the board within a few hours. It was just put into moderation.

So, please post as many images as you would like! We love to see photos of blooms and hear all about where you live and how you grow your orchids. Welcome!!!

    Cheers,
    BD

    Hello, Bachram!

    Thanks for joining our forum!

You photographs are beautiful, and we'd love to see more pictures of your orchids!

Does your Cattleya have a name? The lip looks like there might be some Catt. dowiana or Catt. aurea influence. It's a lovely flower.

    Thank you,
    Julie

    Bachram, I'm sorry!

You did give the name of your plant. My mistake!

    Your Blc. Bua Khum is:

    19% Catt. warscewiczii,
    16% Catt. dowiana,
    13.7% Catt. mossiae,
    11% Catt. mendelii,
with several other species as trace parents. I hope this makes sense to you.

    Julie

    Thank you Julie,

I never got this info just knew it's Blc Bua Khum
at least I bought it with this label but I think
may be it's not exactly correct.
I have seen many other Bua Khum pictures and they look different.

That is the marvel of genetics. If your plant was grown from seed then it may or may not look exactly like its siblings. Based on how your cattleya is named I am guessing this is the case.

If it was a clone then it should look nearly exactly like the plant it was cloned from or divided from.

I do see what you mean though. In the examples I could find the lip is much darker in color. But, even though your flower does not look exactly like others you have seen pictured it is most likely as labeled.

There IS the chance of mislabelling though. I have a phal labeled as amabilis. This is a white flower. I have read in one place where there is a chance of pinks coming through, but as you can see in my picture it is definately way to pink.
