Who would have thought that I would buy another Phalaenopsis, considering my so far lacklustre history with this genus...

but I was told that 'in general' Phalaenopsis are easy to grow... so I am gonna try again with this little cutie...

    Phalaenopsis Little Emperor

wish me... or rather the Little Emperor luck!

What a lovely color! I can see why you'd want to try again.

Who will survive, she wonders...the emperor or the prince???

I am finding my hybrid phals like it a little more on the cool side than I would have imagined. East window seems to do them good too. I don't manage the humidity much either, 30-40% most of the time.

I do have some species that are more warm growing though and I will be learning more about them as time goes on. They seem to like where I have them now, under two 24" tubes and at about 70 degrees, closer to 40% most of the time.

    Nice Phal Tim.
I think you should change the label to read Paph sanderianum & it will probably thrive given the conditions.Never let it dry out , fert every now & again , keep humidity above 50% , bright light almost as much as most multi-florals , temps not below 60f(unless you are trying to spike it).

Lovely contrast in colors and I love the little touch of red.
