Actually I already posted a similar explanation on another garden forum as people are always getting confused between what is a grex vs. a clone. The company where I got the Goodaleara called it a Beallara and I simply didn't question it. Now I will have to check the rest on the RHS site!

It was probably registered as a Beallara initially. Taxonomists have recently moved a number of Odontoglossum and Miltonia species into Oncidium, if your hybrid had one of them in it's background then it would become a Goodaleara.

Ah yes, one of the Miltonias was changed to Oncidium, hence Colmanara Wildcat became an Odontocidium. If that Miltonia was in my Dancing Matador (and I think it is), then it would indeed become a Goodaleara.
