I bet they're incredibly fragrant! Bellina has one of the most spectacular smells of all Phals! In fact, fragrance is one of the identifying characteristics that separates Phal bellina from Phal violacea, long thought to be the same species.

Where violacea is more spicy, bellina is considered lemony, sometimes called the "Fruit Loop" orchid because of its fragrance.

Great growing Steve - thanks for the piccies!

Indeed the fragrance is very strong & pleasant.Believe me though it is completely overwhelmed by Phal Universal Princess"Carmela".
The scent is as powerful as Den kingianum but only when it is in strong light.

Both violacea and bellina are my favorite Phal species. Beautiful flowers!

    Thanks for sharing.
