    I'm pretty baffled by how expensive silk orchids are compared to a real growing plant in NZ...

    I saw a large silk phal trying to be sold for almost $200 =\ thats like 6 times the price of an average blooming phal

    Oh this one is plastic, not silk , from the dollar store bought as a joke from a friend

    And the silk ones look silly sometimes too in addition to the price. I notice the flower parts are put on backwards, slanted and stuff, they really aren't put together well and not worth the price. And ppl do buy them!! Maybe I'm to much of a perfectionist. There was one exception, I saw this beautiful white silk dend and it looked really real, I almost wanted to buy it, and it was only $5 .....I see that all the blooms are upsidedown on this one , good thing its a dollar
