What!? Afraid of those lil' ole east coast crabs??? come on out for some good crabbing for Dungeness or King... The kings will take a finger off....
You come on out here - I'll provide the crab feast! It's the height of crab season right now... We used to go crabbing all the time when I was a kid, but now days you have to go into such deep water that only professionals can get them. Still, fresh cooked crab, dipped in butter, served with warm, fresh, sourdough bread and some fine California wine........ mmmmm - mmmhh!!
Diane is pulling our collective legs. She was hoping to trick for us all going crabbing and got crabbed by the crabs and we all end up with bloody fingers ... heheheee... That huge monster looks like a King Crab to me ... Yes, it's Dungeness Crab season here. Come on over and feast on them ... O-sweet-juicy-crab-meat ... Hehhehehee ...

I STILL want to know if that is her in the photo with that monstrous thing.
Probably is...Diane's a bit freakish that way!
Hey!!! Freakish!!! I'm just open minded about new experiences!
Actually, that is not me in the picture. King Crabs are caught by commercial fishermen in deep water off Alaska. A bit tooooo much of an experience for me (especially if you have ever seen any of the t.v. specials about commercial crabbing).
I have done lots of crabbing for the smaller, but still delicious Dungeness Crab, off the coasts of California and Oregon.
So the offer is still open - - come on out for a crab feast!! Just watch out for the 70 mph wind gusts, the Santa Ana winds have been incredible lately... (ala Malibu Toast...)
hmm... crabs, warm weather, fine wine... and good company! let me try and weasel a holiday in the next couple of days! Btw, is that like 'a crab for one'?
