    Default Phal. amabilis ?

Picked this up at a box store, labeled as Phal. amabilis. I'm pretty sure it's an accurate ID, since there were about 10 plants there, all with the same tag. Also, I saw a set of identical plants in the other box store, from the same grower. The problem is the flower form doesn't look like most pics of amabilis I've found, and the callus isn't an exact match for any of the pics Piper linked to in Amelia's post. Are there any Phal experts out there who can say yea or nay? Either way, I love the flower form, and the blooms are about 2 inches accross, on many-flowered, branching spikes. Can't ask for much more haha

That looks like an amabilis to me. Certainly the callus is. Aphrodite is most often mislabeled as amabilis, but the aphrodite callus has multiple "teeth" on the far corners, and yours doesn't. I don't see any reason to doubt the tag.

Thanks for the votes of confidence. I'm always skeptical of tags from sources who don't deal exclusively in orchids, esp. with white flowers, which have been so rampantly hybridized.
