    Hi Elena,

No that's not a blue, but it is a lovely species, Gin!

Dtps. Siam Treasure is a blue:
    http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...sure-blue.html

A little more common is the primary hybrid, Dtps. Kenneth Schubert, and very blue violacea species can be a stunning true blue. That's what the breeders are hoping for, but it's highly recessive and you just don't know what you'll get. Some bloom a very saturated magenta, some a pure white.

Steve in the UK had one bloom out the intense magenta last year:

I have four violacea seedlings all various cross from true blue parents. I'm hoping at least one of them comes out blue. It's hard waiting!

I really like the hairy lip! It's a fantastic detail on a really good looking bloom. Congratulations on your 'chid!
