Default "Stu" & 1 of my newest minis -- P. parishii x lobbii

Bought the parishii X lobbii in spike so I can't take full credit for it -- only for not causing it to abort. I'm very happy with it! [Hopefully I won't kill it!] Particularly glad that the lip takes more after the parishii than the lobbii parent. [P. parishii has a purple lip, lobbii a brown lip ... both are cute, I just prefer the purple] Whole span of the plant is about 4" [10 cm]. The flowers are really quite nicely sized IMO. They are also pleasantly fragrant.

"Stu" is my P. stuartianna. A friend & I went in together on a bid at a society auction a few years back. A pot with 2 growths .....

I know this one could get rather large [at least by my standards] but so far -- whether by genetics, luck, or neglect -- Stu has stayed quite compact. An added plus is that when not in bloom he has nicely mottled foliage, unlike most phals. Not sure what exactly it is about this shot, but I really like how it turned out.

Oh I love them! How do you find parishii X lobbii to grow? I really like lobbii and have it on my wish list for some time in the future, they are just so tiny and impossibly cute.

That is just too dang cute!
Is it mounted? I am considering what to do with a piece of cork bark I won as a door prize at our last meeting and was considering mounting a phal or two on it, maybe my Mini Mark? This one would be a perfect companion or maybe a totally different mini species/hybrid?

Does anyone else think that in the third picture the Phal lobbii x parishii look like old fashioned nurses or nuns with big white habits? Maybe I am more tired than I thought this morning.

Such a dainty mini- they really are my favorites!! Please do tell us how you care for it- if I find that I can replicate those conditions in my home, I just might go buy one :-) I have that "I NEED to go buy an Orchid" feeling today...
